I paint to inspire those who say they aren't ready to follow their dreams. I spent years minimizing myself as an artist, hiding painfully. My inner critic said that I wasn't talented enough to be considered a "real artist" and my heart said it was time. I wasn't sure how, but I knew I had to be seen- imperfections and all. I paint figures in various moments of their internal dialogue. For some it's the beginning of the whisper, or others the moment they leap off the cliff screaming "YES!"
