I experience an enduring renewal through our beautiful hillsides. My work is reflective of my tree-hugging, hippy personality, yet the surface is a space of searching where lines are lost, colors retrieved, and light sharpens a sense of groundedness. I resist feeling confined and seek solace in my memory of the trail. The paintings impart familiarity and connection while also energetic — if not frantic. In the end, I’m going for an enduring awareness of what we share.
